Meet Cathy - Our Newest Team Member at Mazzarese

As you may have noticed our team is growing. Late last year, right before the holiday season, Cathy Nguyen joined the Mazzarese family. We are proud to have her as part of our team.

Having a little fun, recently we sat down for a short Q&A session, probing on topics such as favorite designer and favorite local spot in Kansas City. Take a moment to “get to know” Cathy here so when you see her in our showroom on your next visit she isn’t a new acquaintance but a friend.

Cathy

Tell us a little bit about yourself

“My parents were separated for almost a decade due to Vietnam war before

meeting again in the late 1980s. I admire everything they’ve been through and

their hardships to give my brother and I a better opportunity in life.”

Favorite Kansas City Local Food Spot

“I’m currently obsessed with the Ube (pronounced OO-BAE) ice cream from Ice

Cream Bae, located at the Marketplace on the Plaza. It’s even better if you add

fruity pebbles or Oreos…maybe both?”

Favorite Time of the Year

“Spring or fall because the temperature is just right...sometimes.”

Who is your favorite designer?

“Todd Reed because his jewelry is practically art and one-of-a-kind. It’s as

practical as it is sustainable.”

What do you love most about jewelry/accessories? Why are they an important part of fashion/style/life...

“Jewelry is a great addition to compliment or complete your look. I love

multipurpose pieces that can be worn no matter what the occasion.

At the end of the day, if it’s something you love to wear, everything else is

irrelevant.”

What pieces are you coveting for the Spring Season?

“I’m currently obsessed with different symmetry and shapes. Especially anything with

an emerald cut stone.”

What designer are you keeping an eye on and why?

“Etho Maria featured bold yet refined styles and I can’t wait to see what collection

comes out next.”

What is your passion outside of work?

“Binge watching crime shows and re-watching The Office.”
