As Father’s Day approaches the uncertainty of how to celebrate Dad lingers, of course, the traditional family dinner on the patio is an unspoken option. You already know he will love it because he is Dad and loves everything you do. Afterall, that is one of the reasons why he is so special.
You can probably picture the celebration already, him beside the grill, cooking for everyone with that apron that was a gift several years ago, the one that says “World’s Best Dad” on it.
But...just in case you would like to mix it up this year here are a few suggestions on celebrating Dad that are unique, paired with the perfect gift that he is sure to love. (Mazzarese family approved of course.)
Topgolf: Who doesn’t love a good round of golf with Dad? Only here, no sunscreen is needed. The entire family can play, making many memories for years to come in an air conditioned space where your favorite foods and beverages are hand delivered. Pairing this experience with a watch from Shinola (pictured below) makes the day complete. Not only will Dad want to come back to Topgolf, he will also want to wear this watch every single day.

Royals Game: The Royals are in town Father’s Day weekend! Nothing beats a Sunday afternoon at the ballpark. Hot dogs, beer, peanuts, and more. Going to the baseball game is an experience in itself. If you haven’t tried the Craft & Draft seats, we highly recommend them. With seats mostly in the shade and a special menu only available in that section, makes it another memorable choice. Before you head out to the “K” wrap up a gift that is as timeless as the sport itself. Omega has been around since 1848, and while baseball is a little older, both are timeless. Dad will love any of the options shown below, the Railmaster, the Seamaster (blue of course) or the Speedmaster. Need a fun fact to share with Pops? Omega Speedmaster Professional (now known as the Moonwatch) made a trip to on the moon, on Buzz Aldrin’s wrist.

Tom’s Town Distillery: If everyone in the family is over twenty-one this is the spot. Trust us. From the moment you walk into Tom’s Town Dad will enjoy himself. Created directly from the Pendergast Era, the 1930’s are alive in this old building. Reserve a tour (http://www.toms-town.com/distillery) for everyone in your family, it’s worth the $10 fee especially at the end when you are asked to join the tour guide for a tasting. Tom’s Town is the best vodka distillery in the United States, awarded the honor last fall. They are closed on Sunday and Monday so it may be more of a Father’s day weekend celebration, which we are sure is okay with Dad! In addition to the tour wrap up one of these John Hardy pieces created especially for him.
Station Bracelet - John Hardy
Classic Chain Link Necklace - John Hardy
Naga Cufflinks- John Hardy
Bronze Naga Ring- John Hardy
No matter what you do with Dad make it memorable. Life is too short to not spend time with the ones you love, luckily Kansas City has a variety of unique options for you to enjoy. For all the Dads out there, we wish you a very Happy Father’s Day!
